Book a free consultation →Basic vs. Intermediate: What Actually Matters
The R1,300 difference feels big when you're starting out. Here's when it's worth paying it, and when it isn't.
There's one clear exception. We regularly work with construction companies whose business comes almost entirely from government and municipal tenders. For them, a website isn't a sales tool. It's a visibility and credibility tool. Tenders aren't won or lost because of a website, so one well-built page that shows the company exists, is legitimate, and can be found, genuinely does the job. If that's your situation, the Basic package is the right call, not the compromise.
Most people comparing our Basic and Intermediate packages are early-stage businesses working with a tight budget. R1,300 is real money at that stage, and it's tempting to take the cheaper route just to get found on Google. We get it, and for most businesses, we do recommend the 5-page site. It gives you more room to grow, more pages for Google to rank, and more ways for a visitor to actually become a customer.
For everyone else, here's the part that doesn't get talked about enough. Upgrading a 1-page site into a multi-page site later almost always costs more than starting with the 5-page package from day one. A single-page site's menu doesn't link to real pages. It links to sections of that one page. When you're ready for a proper Services or Contact page, that section has to be pulled out and rewritten with enough genuine, standalone content to justify its own page. Moving three sentences from a homepage section onto a new page isn't something Google will take seriously.
That matters more than it used to. When you request indexing through Google Search Console, Google doesn't add every page it's asked to index. It crawls the page first and judges whether the content is worth showing to searchers. Thin or copy-pasted content can simply be left out of search results entirely. Google's core updates through 2026 made this stricter, specifically targeting generic, AI-written, and thin pages, and it's hit single-page sites and outdated multi-page sites alike.
"In my experience, if there's a real chance you'll want more than one page within the next year or two, the 5-page package works out cheaper, not just in cost, but in effort, than starting small and rebuilding later."

These Premium Essentials
No extras. No hidden fees. These foundations are built into every website we deliver, from Basic to Professional.
We implement SEO best practices from day one, optimising your metadata, headers, and site structure so Google indexes and discovers your business. Every page runs through Rank Math and gets its own hand-coded schema markup matched to what the page actually is: a service page gets Service schema, an FAQ page gets FAQPage schema, and so on. That distinction is exactly the kind of structural signal Google's crawlers use to judge whether a page earns a place in search results, not just how it reads to a person. More on how we approach this in our FAQ. ✦ Advanced long-term SEO growth plans available separately.
- Page titles & meta descriptions for every page
- Keyword-optimised headings & content hierarchy
- Clean URL structure & internal linking
Boost local visibility with expert setup of your Google Business Profile (GMB) and Bing Places for Business so customers find you on Google Maps. We claim and verify the listing, pick the categories that actually match what you do instead of the closest-sounding default, and make sure your name, address, and phone number match exactly across every listing and every page of your site. Mismatched details across platforms are one of the quieter reasons a local business struggles to rank in the map pack.
- Google Business Profile created & verified
- Bing Places listing configured
- NAP consistency across directories
We ensure your visual identity is web-ready. Most businesses that come to us only have a rasterised logo, a PNG or JPEG that was fine for a Facebook post but was never built for a website. We've seen what that costs firsthand: pixelation the moment it's placed larger than a thumbnail, no transparent background, and unnecessary file weight slowing down your load times. Before launch, we create proper vector and web-optimised formats from what you give us, so your brand looks sharp at every size. See examples across our portfolio.
- Logo exported in correct web formats (SVG, WebP, PNG)
- Favicon created from your brand mark
- Colour palette & font consistency maintained
Your site features a fluid layout that performs perfectly on smartphones, tablets, and desktops, the user experience Google rewards with higher rankings. We build mobile-first from the very first line of CSS, not as an afterthought once the desktop version is done, and we test on real iOS Safari and Android Chrome devices, not just a browser's device-emulation mode, because the two don't always agree.
- Tested across iOS, Android & major browsers
- Touch-friendly navigation & tap targets
- Fast load speeds on mobile data connections
Additional Services
Grow your business further with our complementary digital and technical services.
We make the content, not just the plan. Clients like Mgiba Law Inc come to us for event posters and videos cut to the right proportions for whichever platform they're going out on, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook each expect a different shape, and getting that wrong is an easy way to look amateur. We built Simple Touch Consulting's logo from scratch, and designed Mbombi Holdings' email signatures to match the rest of their brand.
- Event posters & social content sized for TikTok, Instagram & Facebook
- Logo design & brand identity from scratch
- Email signatures & small collateral pieces
- Ongoing content for businesses already up and running
Beyond the website itself, we help with the systems your business runs on day to day, so the technical side of things is dependable, not just the site your customers see.
- Computer setup & configuration
- Network installation & configuration
- Data backup solutions
- Software installation & configuration
Ongoing content updates, page edits, and performance tuning so your site doesn't quietly slow down the way most do over the years. We handle blog publishing, product changes, and pricing updates directly, so you're never waiting on a developer for something that should take minutes.
- Content management & page updates
- Performance optimisation & speed improvements
- Blog post editing & publishing
- Product addition, removal & pricing updates
