Year one of hosting, SSL and business email is included in every Elamilanga package. From year two, hosting, email and your domain renewal cost R1,799 a year. Changes after launch are R250 an hour. That is the whole price list.

What is included in year one.
Domain, hosting, SSL and business email are included in every Elamilanga package, with no hidden costs. These are the running costs you do not pay for in your first year.
Hosting
12 months of website hosting, starting from the day your website is live and delivered.
SSL certificate
The padlock and https address are included and maintained, so visitors see a secure site.
Business email
Branded addresses on your own domain, such as info@yourbusiness.co.za. The number depends on your package, so see the packages.
Domain registration
First-year registration is included. A .co.za, .online or .org.za domain is free, and a .com is R199 extra.
Security updates
Core security updates and software patches are maintained during your first 12-month hosting term, and continue for as long as your hosting is renewed.
Build corrections
A spelling or contact-detail error from our build is fixed at no charge if you report it within 14 days of delivery.
What it costs after year one.
Keeping a website online in South Africa usually means paying for hosting, a domain, SSL and email as separate line items. We roll hosting, business email and domain renewal into one annual fee of R1,799 per year. Here is every charge that applies once your first year is up.
Priced separately, hosting commonly runs R600 to R1,500 a year, a domain R200 to R400, SSL R300 to R800 and business email R150 to R400. Whoever you use, ask for a line-item breakdown. Our fees follow our Terms & Conditions.

We email you 30 days before expiry. Missing the date can mean temporary suspension, so reply and we will sort it.
Keeping your site up to date.
A live website is not the finish line. Most sites slowly go stale: old prices, missing products and pages that load a little slower every year. Ongoing care is how you stop that.
Ongoing site admin can be monthly or as needed. Ask for a quote based on how often your site changes.

Edit time after launch is built into two packages. Advanced includes 1 post-delivery edit session. Professional includes 3 months of post-delivery edits and priority support, with 1 session a month of up to 1 hour. See the packages.

How much does it cost to maintain a website in South Africa?
With Elamilanga it is R1,799 a year from year two, covering hosting, business email and your domain renewal, plus R250 an hour for any changes you ask for. Year one is included in your package price. Elsewhere, ask for a line-item breakdown that shows hosting, domain, SSL and email separately.
What does the R1,799 annual fee cover?
Continued website hosting, your business email addresses and your domain renewal. A .com domain renews at R200 more; .co.za, .online and .org.za renew within the R1,799.
What happens if I do not renew?
We email you 30 days before your hosting term ends. If it is not renewed by the expiry date, your website and email can be temporarily suspended until it is.
Can I move my website to another host?
Yes. A reasonable migration assistance fee may apply, and your website files are provided on written request once all outstanding amounts are settled.
Can I cancel my hosting?
Yes, with 30 days' written notice. Prepaid hosting fees are not refunded pro rata unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Who pays for changes after my website is live?
Changes after delivery are R250 an hour. Significant changes or new features get a written quote that you approve before work starts. Advanced and Professional packages include post-delivery edit time.
Is security maintenance included?
Core security updates and software patches are maintained during your first 12-month hosting term, and continue for as long as your hosting is renewed.
Do you guarantee uptime?
No. We do not publish an uptime guarantee, because uptime depends on the hosting provider's terms.
